Lewis Hamilton has full name of Lewis Carl Davidson Hamilton. He was born on January 7th 1985 in Stevenage, Hertfordshire, England. Before entering Mercedes racing team, he had participated in playing for Manor Motorsport at ASM Formula 3 and ART Grand Prix.

2001 2005: The professional racer at young racing tournaments

When he was 16 years old, Hamilton began racing at prestigious tournaments such as Formula Renault and Formula 3. In 2004, Hamilton participated in more considerable tournaments such as Formula 3 Euro Series and Macau Grand Prix or Master of Formula 3.

In 2005, Hamilton arrived at AMS Formula 3 team. During this period, Lewis Hamilton achieved some remarkable achievements as gaining the championship at Formula Renault 2,0 UK 2003 with a victory of 10/15 matches, winning the championship of Formula 3 Euro Series 2005 with a victory of 15/20 matches, and achieving the championship at Master of Formula 3 2005. 2006: Racing at GP2 series

GP2 is the young racing tournaments of F1. In 2016, Lewis Hamilton won the championship at this tournament with 5/21 matches. Hamilton is one of the rare racers who skipped the stage as a test driver in Mclaren.

2007: A perfect beginning but losing the championship 

Lewis Hamilton and Fernando Alonso were chosen by Mclaren team to replace the racing pair, Mika Hakkinen and David Coulthard at F1 tournament that year. Hamilton demonstrated that he was not weaker than Ferlando Alonso (F1 champion).

During all the first 9 races, he stand on the podium on account of 2 winning at North America (Canada and US). He didn’t win the championship, because he had an accident at GP Europe when racing in the heavy rain. Having been cured temporarily, he still drove mainly and finished at 9th.

2008: Winning the championship for the first time

At the 2008 tounament, Lewis Hamilton still show the excellent standing. In this time, his main racing rival was Felipe Massa. Although he won only 5 matches which were less than the rival, he won Felipe Massa by one point. Because of this situation, he won the World’s Driver Championship for the first time.

2009: The most difficult time in his career

At racing tournament 2009, Lewis Hamilton’s result had been abolished at the the opening match in Australia due to a mistake of not following the command of the supervisor. Then, he could not score in 5 consecutive races.

This is believed to have been the longest non-racing series in his career. However, during the next races of the tournament, Mclaren had made breakthrough changes that helped Lewis Hamilton win 2 times and stand on the podium 3 times.

2010: Shining in the middle of the tournament

In the 2010 tournament, Lewis Hamilton was not able to win the first 6 races. However, from the middle of the tournament he was the best racer. Hamilton entered the final round of the 2010 season with a chance of winning the title, but ultimately finished fourth as Sebastian Vettle won the race to take his maiden drivers’ crown.

2011: Failing by the teammate

2014: Winning the championship again

Despite having unfotunate beginning, Lewis Hamilton won 4 consecutive races and was on top of the rank. 2014 was the first time in his racing career, he won 4 consecutive races. During the racing period, Hamilton and Rogsberg had many conflicts and broken friendship. At the end of the tournament, Hamilton have triumphed the championship for the second time.

2015: Complete domination 

After four more years with McLaren without finishing higher than fourth in the drivers’ standings, Hamilton signed with Mercedes in 2013, reuniting with his childhood karting teammate, Nico Rosberg.

In the 2015 tournament, Lewis Hamilton had 10 wins and only 2 times without reaching podium. The rivalry between him and Rosberg intensified, climaxing in a heated battle at the race where Hamilton won in an action-packed, wheel-to-wheel battle with his teammate. 2017: Regaining the championship

In the 2017 tournament, Nico Roberg suddenly announced his retirement, which brought many advantages for Lewis Hamilton. At that very time, he won the 69th pole and broke Micheal Schumacher’s previous record.

2018: Winning the championship for the fifth time

At the opening of the tournament, it wasn’t really lucky for him to gain the pole, but he had achieved the second title in Australia, then the third title in Bahrain, and the fourth title in China. He officially won the championship at GP Mexico. During the season, Hamilton signed a two-year contract with Mercedes, reported to be worth up to £40 million per year, making him the best-paid Formula One driver in history.

Up to now, he have gained the championship 6 times and only had less 1 championship to stand abreas the legendary racer Micheal Schumarcher. Mercedes-Benz is known for a luxurious brand that has won many championships in Europe as well as the F1 racing champion. Mercedes has won both the Constructors’ and Drivers’ Championships for every year from 2014 to 2019. They are the only Formula One team to ever win six consecutive “double-championships”.
